FAQ

01

Is ZXMR a DEX or a token?

Both. ZXMR is the 1:1 XMR-backed asset and the decentralized exchange where it trades. You can swap it and provide liquidity directly, non-custodially, and redeem back to XMR anytime.

02

What can I trade or swap?

Swap ZXMR — your XMR exposure — against stablecoins and other supported assets through on-chain liquidity pools. Instant, permissionless, from your own wallet.

03

How do I earn on the DEX?

Provide liquidity to a ZXMR pool and earn a share of the trading fees (plus any liquidity incentives). You can add or withdraw your liquidity whenever you want.

04

Is the DEX non-custodial?

Yes. Swaps and liquidity live in on-chain smart-contract pools; you never hand your assets to a company or middleman.

05

Is ZXMR always redeemable for XMR?

Yes. You can redeem ZXMR back to XMR at any time, 1:1 minus the 0.5% fee. Learn more →

06

Who holds my XMR while it's wrapped?

A distributed operator set holds the reserve collectively — not any single custodian. Moving the reserve requires a threshold of operators to co-authorize, so no one party is in control.

07

Is this custodial?

It's trust-minimized, not single-custodian: the reserve is secured by threshold custody across multiple independent operators, and trading is fully non-custodial.

08

What network is ZXMR on?

Arbitrum. ZXMR is a standard ERC-20, so it works with any EVM wallet and any DeFi application on that network.

09

How long does wrapping or redeeming take?

Wrap: as soon as your XMR deposit reaches the required number of Monero confirmations. Redeem: after your burn reaches the required Arbitrum confirmations and clears a short safety window. Depths are chosen conservatively so funds only ever move once a transaction is final. Learn more →

10

What about privacy?

Monero keeps its privacy on the Monero side. But once wrapped, ZXMR is a transparent token on Arbitrum — like any Arbitrum asset, its balances and transfers are public on-chain. Wrapping is a deliberate move from private (Monero) rails to transparent (Arbitrum) rails to access DeFi; redeeming returns you to Monero. Choose what to bridge accordingly.

11

Where do the fees go?

The 0.5% wrap/redeem fees sustain the protocol and its liquidity; DEX swap fees go to the liquidity providers who make trading possible.

12

Do I need an account or to trust a website?

No. ZXMR is permissionless — you interact directly from your own wallet and always hold your own keys.
